The lifeless body of a newborn was found Feb. 17 in a trash Sarzeau (Morbihan) and an investigation was opened for infanticide, said here today a source judiciary.
The body, concealed in an opaque bag filled with clothes, was discovered following the hospitalization of a resident of the community who had symptoms of post-partum hemorrhage.
An autopsy and further tests were undertaken to determine the circumstances of the death of the infant. The prosecutor declined to comment at this stage of the investigation.
