How Long Will A Fire Extinguisher Last

Well, the girls are in school, and babies in deck, so breakfast at the computer!
the menu, organic decaf coffee and pumpkin bread (recipe from the book "The Kind diet" that has good recipes for great vegan) and two extra strengh tylenol .... Massive headache this morning, is it because I could not sleep more than 30 minutes in my bed until 3am??
Babies sleep poorly at the moment. Finally, often y'en a sleeping badly and one who wakes up once or early in the morning, but it's still hard ... I do not know why they sleep poorly. They slept better as newborns! We tried increasing the bib dinner (I additonal once a day if they are breastfed) or decrease it in case they have a reaction to lactose, we tried cereal (rice) in the bib, a spoon ... Last night was out the humidifier. Nothing seems to matter ...
Yet they made their nights to 2-3 months ... Well, nevermind, it will stop one day!
Waiting a few more days and I would start dietary diversification. Maybe give them a ca more regular pace and they sleep better??

I decided to try to relaunch this blog. I said "try" because I am not sure to have the time, but I envy and with good reason, then that's not bad ...

12 weeks

Amazing how time flies ...

already 12 weeks ...

already almost 3 months since my maternity leave has started ... and say that I just have 6 ... phew! (Because my dad takes the balance!)

We return trip!

A small family holiday in Western Canada! We did Calgary, Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper and Edmonton within 10 days!

Leah has traveled as much! We were proud parents! On the plane, she was exemplary! In the car she was awesome! She saw the mountains, but not remember them ... She saw snow ... but did not react ... She also saw Santa Claus in a mall and it was beautiful smiles!

We took lots of photos! Wonderful memories! I'm going to work very soon to put everything in a beautiful photo book that we can browse for years to come!

Meanwhile, I have to find undo and much washing!

Happy Halloween!



Lea had 2 months this week ... we're fun to do a little photo shoot with the theme of Halloween!

And then yesterday was the first vaccine to miss! It's his dad stayed with her for the injections while I was in the waiting room, heart broken because I heard my baby screaming through walls!

The poor little pot has a small allergic reaction later in the evening .. She had a leg all red ... very very red! And she was inconsolable ... This does not resemble him at all! Luckily, a friend, family doctor, was at home and was able to advise us well ... Some Benadryl for children was good for our pot who spent a good night! We are the parents who have less sleep well ... We woke up every hour to see if it was good ..

This morning upon waking, I found my baby smile! Amazing how our Leah is always in a good mood! She smiles more and more ... She started to laugh too! What happiness! She loves to take baths ... it really is like a fish in water! To the delight his dad who is responsible for this ritual! And so today ... Thursday ... we did the photo shoot 9 weeks! Not bad for a small poupoune was inconsolable for about 12 hours earlier!

It's beautiful daughter and my happiness is to see in her eyes that she recognized us!

This Sunday we will baptize Leah! October 17 is already an important date for us as we celebrate our first wedding anniversary. So when the option to baptize our daughter at that time came ... we jumped at the chance!

Invitations were sent, responses were received ... We are very happy, 50 people, adults and children, have confirmed their presence! It will be a real nice party for Lea officially welcome to our family!

For the occasion, we rented a small room at the University of Ottawa (the church being on the campus of the university) for a small reception after the ceremony! The cake was ordered .... Stepmother takes care of sandwiches ... Mamam handles my vegetables ... and we take care of the rest of the menu for a good buffet breakfast on Sunday afternoon!

I look forward to seeing everyone .. some have not yet made the acquaintance of Lea, so it promises to be a big day for the little cutie ...



Speaking of her ... she is 7 weeks today! Like every week we made our little photo shoot this morning! Miss seems to take a lot of fun! She begins to make small smiles at the camera! It is a true girl ... a True smaller poupoune! In the morning I brush her hair and I face cream and she loves!





Last weekend we were invited to a wedding. Leah came with us and she made it like a champion!! During the ceremony, which took place in a gazebo outside, she stayed quiet ... to make small smiles to mom!

During reception it was also super nice! Obviously she was hungry at the moment when the first service began .. hihi! But she ate well, stayed quiet during the speech .. has stayed a little in his stroller ... then she even danced a bit with mom in the evening! ;) A true little angel!

We were very pleased to see that she was so well behaved ... it looks good for his first voyage around the corner! And yes, we bought our tickets and we went out west in a few weeks with our little pot! Calgary, Kenmore, Banff, Jasper and Edmonton ... We're going to see the mountains, but also family and friends! Lea will fly for the first time in his short life! We look forward to this first family vacation!

Speaking of family, darling and I decided to make some changes in our lifestyle ... We registered both at Minçavi to lose weight while taking up healthy eating habits. I took a lot of unnecessary weight during my pregnancy and feel more or less comfortable in my skin right now ... We want to do it now while Leah is still small and maintain healthier habits that will experience growing up .. We believe that this is one of the most beautiful gift we can make our child ... We are already pretty good physical side, then it will be a matter of discipline and encouragement. On two it should be easier lose weight, but also to maintain the weight lost! story to follow!

Sunday, September 26, it took a month! We celebrated it a bit .. hihihi! After a preparatory meeting for the baptism of miss, we made a quick stop at Second Cup .. and we bought this nice little biscuit in his honor! Mom was entertained after the shoot .. hihi!

I see my midwife next week for follow-up visit ... 6 weeks after my C-section .. I hope he will tell me that I can start doing some exercise .. I miss it! And I want to try all full of activities with Leah: yoga, cardio-stroller and psychomotor development workshops Gymboree!

Yesterday I went out alone with her for the first time! We went to my office! I'm usually always accompanied! It went very well and it gave me confidence! I seraio able to repeat the experience in the future!

Tomorrow, my little Leah will be 3 weeks! Already three weeks! 3 weeks that I'm mama! 3 weeks since my life has changed! 3 weeks since our little surprises us, amazes us, makes us literally bursting!

Lea is a great baby! She is already very good night, and since we left the hospital ... From this time, we go to bed for the night between 23h and midnight and on average it makes us a good 5 hours before waking up because she is hungry. I breastfeed, so then she plunged back into a sleep for another good 3 hours!

I think it's perfect, I sleep on average 6-8 hours per night which allows me to get fit! I did not need to nap during the day which allows me to do some stuff in the house (mainly washing and collection!)

Cesarean

I still can not do much since recovering from the Caesarean section. I was well aware ... 6 weeks molo take it and do not lift loads over 15 lbs! Lea is a chance that mini! I can barely lift in his car seat!

But I must say that the recovery of Caesarean section is much easier than I expected ... After a week and a half I was feeling much better, much more mobile ... Actually I do careful not to overdo it now.

I'm dying to do some exercise! Yoga classes and cardio-stroller on my list of planned activities as soon as I ... " ok doc! I feel a little sedentary these days! ..

I can go on walks, but I have to limit the time for me not too tired!

We are lucky, we had help from our parents and friends a lot! Small dishes and muffins to fill our freezer full of meals delivered at home, a hand with household ... we are truly blessed!

Breastfeeding difficult

I also keep my energy for breastfeeding! Is that it is not easy, especially since I some obstacles ..

I'm not a big production of milk. In fact, I do not produce enough milk to breastfeed exclusively Lea .. I tried very hard during the first week ... I even pulled milk to try to activate the production, but when we faced a baby who did not weight, it took a difficult decision ...

Today, I continue to breastfeed, and more take my milk 1-2 times a day ... I also take medication to increase my milk production and we supplémentons feeding Lea the formula ....

The "formula" .... Word that I refused to hear for 1 week after birth .. I was in tears every time someone mentioned the word .. Feeling inadequate as a mom so the idea that I was not producing enough to satisfy my girl ..

And yet ... I'm pregnant, I told myself that yes I would like to breastfeed, but if it does not work, I was not going to make a dish. I thought I would do my best and at worst my daughter would still be filled with love .. Well ... it's easy to say when we do not face the problem! I found it harder than I thought I recognized that I was not "sufficient" for baby ..

Breastfeeding was still fine. Leah is a natural, she immediately took the breast well ... but being a little baby C-section, she was very likely to fall asleep at the breast and therefore do not eat enough! I was also told that the caesarean section and the pain I had after surgery may have had a negative effect on my production .. I never really had a big rise milk until I take the medicine .. and again, nothing unbearable!

So today we seem to have found a solution that works. Lea gaining weight, it grows and grows well! She is getting stronger ... I sometimes feel a little beat a dead horse with breastfeeding, but I tell myself it's for a good cause and hopes to eventually let go of the formula! We're lucky, Leah goes from breast to bottle and vice versa .. I was afraid she begins to reject me after taking a bottle!

Small Wonder

This is my third day home alone with Leah. His father returned to work this week after spending two weeks with us .. It was good life "three! "But we need a return to reality at some point .. hehe! Leah and I are going on a good day to date! She drinks, sleeps a bit and play a little everyday! It is my strong little girl! It's been a good bit to show us his strength ... it gives us a tapping head ... gets up and turns her head as she wants! We started play periods on the belly, and she did it perfectly!
